Dr Zaffer is doing what he does best. He has took the time with me and my poor girl who has pancreatitis. BE CAREFUL, watch what kind of food you feed a lazy senior dog. I called Dr Marty and talked to them before i ordered and they said yes it would be good for her NOT knowing it had 33+% Fat that has now cost me $3000.00 for vet care. Now she is on a 7% low fat diet. I tried to give this rescue the best years and i was killing her. She has been in & out and now a week in house for hospital care. I also thank the girls who are taking the time with me. There Great!!! I am glad Doc is so Passionate with animals. Hes Gods gift to us pet owners.

The doctor explains everything that's was going on with my dog in detail. Very professional and knowledgeable the staff is friendly and very helpful. Sarge is feeling a lot better after an episode of pancreatitis and chronic bronchitis.

If i need to see a veterinarian, This is the man! Has a wealth of knowledge. Got my girl in and took good care of her. Didn’t waist my money. Did what test he thought she needed and I am glad he did, She ended up having pancreatitis Then she enjoyed her Motel stay for 4 days, Had more interactions after she was treated and everyone was great, I just hope I don’t see you until she needs JUST shots.

Doc and his staff whet above and beyond taking care of my pet. Doc and Vet tech Lori and I discussed what meds needs to be changed because they weren't agreeing with my dog. So we cut the dose in half until she was able to take her full dose. She had Mammary glands removed, so she is cut pretty extensively. The front desk, girls will greet you and show compassion when you bring your pet in for whatever reason. I am new to the area and glad I found this veterinarian.

I like the doctor there that we saw she was one of those give it to you straight kind of people I like that and we are definitely going to make this our home veterinarian the receptionist was very polite the place was very very clean I have high hopes for this place

I won’t presume to know facts in the absence of evidence, but I’m reasonably certain the veterinarian in Chicago, IL (Lakeview neighborhood, right next to the Addison metra/brown line) killed my dog by choosing profit over healthcare. I’d call them out, but when I looked to ascertain the correct name for the clinic, they’re apparently closed. They made a mint will all their Simparica trio signage. My 7-year-old dog took it once and had his first seizure shortly thereafter. He then started having seizures once or twice a month, which required a ton an expensive meds, which we paid for…from those same evil people. Fast forward to moving to Michigan, and we had him seen at Anchor Bay Vet Clinic. My 70-pound German shepherd was an abject jerk to everyone at anchor bay (he didn’t trust vets. Go figure.), and yet they epitomized professionalism and care. He had to be euthanized July 28. Today we received a sympathy card in the mail, signed by EVERY EMPLOYEE at the anchor bay vet clinic. THAT—boys and girls—that’s the kind of care you want if you love your pet (and if you didn’t you wouldn’t be reading this). You get what you put into this life—put profits over empathy and you go out of business (good riddance!). I hope and pray God smiles on each of them at Anchor Bay Vet Clinic. Those are good people, and their kindness to the best friend I never deserved, despite him being stupid aggressive the whole time, every time…. To the staff at Anchor Bay: Thank you. Thank you.

Dr. Zaffer is an Excellent Surgeon and Diagnostician. He also has a wonderful attentive professional staff. Our 2 cats and 2 dogs have been seeing him for their Medical needs and nail trimming for about a year. Dr. Zaffer just removed a fatty tumor from one of our Dobermans and we could not be happier with the results and his expertise. Thank You, Dr. Zaffer and Team.

We love Anchor Bay Vet! The doctor and the staff are so friendly! They are truly there to help you and your pet. Any questions I have are completely explained to me and I have no issues scheduling a timely appointment.

My dog was fixed here, and he is having so many complications and the receptionist won’t allow me to speak to a vet or a vet tech when I call (3x). I don’t know what happened during his fix but I think something happened and they’re trying to hide it. After reading other reviews I definitely should’ve gone anywhere else. Don’t waste your time or money and save your pets from this nightmare.

I had my dog in for a neuter on Monday. They gave him a Penicillin injection, and prescribed Amoxicillin for him to go home with. I had worked in Veterinary Medicine for years, and had never heard of that but let it go. I also asked about a cone for his procedure upon pickup, and was told "he should be fine". By Tuesday he was unable to hold his urine, straining to pee, and hind end shaking. Wednesday he was vomiting, didn't sleep at all in the night, and would not eat. Still straining to pee and urinating all over the house (on accident). I called to speak with someone on this, and I was told I would need to make an appointment. I explained that they were over an hour from me (this is not my regular vet, it is the vet the rescue used), and asked if they would be waving my exam fee to be seen since he was just in on Monday. Again, after working in vet med it is pretty customary to get a free recheck after a procedure. I was cut off while asking and was just told "That is completely up to the Doctor". Got it. Can someone please ask before I drive over an hour each way or pay my regular vet to fix a problem that he did not start? I told her never mind, and contacted my regular vet. My regular vet said that he also had never heard of a standard neuter resulting in such an exorbitant amount of antibiotics, and wondered if there was some sort of contamination during the procedure that I was not made aware of. My vet also mentioned that the pain medication that he was put on, is really not standard for the procedure that he was given. I spent $400 at my current vet (more than the cost of the neuter), and we are hoping that they did not do any internal damage which is making it hard for him to hold his bladder, or be unsure when to release it. Overall, I am not pleased with the level of care OR the client service. I would not recommend you bring your pet here, and based upon the reviews there is an overall lack of care by many. Save your pets and your wallets, find another provider.

This place is absolutely amazing! My dog has had to come in for many cases and my dog is always in the best hands and I highly recommend to take your animals here, it’s a great place!
